TPSODL has launched a Mobile Health Dispensary (MHD) unit which caters to the healthcare needs of selected remote villages of the Ganjam district. MHD endeavours to provide door step elementary medical healthcare services in locations where access to medical healthcare facilities is limited due to accessibility issues.
This initiative is a part of TPSODL's Corporate Social Responsibility efforts. TPSODL aims to contribute towards improving the quality of life of people in the area where it operates. Through this initiative, TPOSDL aims to bolster public healthcare in its operational area for the wellbeing of the disadvantaged people. Equipped with one MBBS doctor, one Pharmacist and one Nursing staff - the MHD will cover around 50 villages in a month.
Apart from treatment, free medicines are also being provided to the beneficiaries during such Camps. Primary beneficiaries are elderly, women and children. The Camp has been drawing a good number of people.
Women empowerment and livelihood enhancement are an integral part of TPSODL's corporate social responsibility endeavours. TPSODL has started working with selected SHGs of Odisha Livelihood Mission (OLM) and Mission Shakti towards various income generating activities. Selected SHG members are being trained/oriented on saving and thrift and IGA (Income Generational Activities - like mushroom farming, pickle making, backyard farming, backyard poultry, spice grinding, badi making, paper plate manufacturing, shoe manufacturing unit etc.).
Employee volunteering is an intrinsic part of any TATA company and every employee at TPSODL is encouraged to be a part of the Company's various corporate social responsibility initiatives. Some of the employee volunteering initiatives are listed below -
Blood Donation Camp - A Blood Donation Camp was organized on 14th August at the corporate office in which 65 units of blood was collected (In collaboration with MKCG Hospital).
Tree Mitra - Planting of saplings by senior leaders and other employees on the occasion of 75th Independence Day 2021.
Clean your City - Employees of TPSODL carried out a beach cleaning drive at the Gopalpur beach. Message on zero plastic use was conveyed and oath was taken to not use plastic in any form by participating volunteers.
